December
2007: Senior Carer wins award!
Congratulations to Teresa Toal, one of Edendale's
Senior Carers, for winning an award in December
2007. Teresa, who has dedicated her spare time to
studying an NVQ3 in Care, was commended for her
ongoing hard work and conciencousness by lecturers
at Hastings College and was named as the winner
of the award at the annual college ceremony at Beaufort
Park. Teresa began studying her NVQ3 a year ago,
with view to furthering her career within the care
industry. Her commitment to her studies has been
outstanding and her increased knowledge and experience
continues to benefit the residents and staff at
Edendale on a daily basis. |

2007: Christmas Outings
The residents at Edendale have enjoyed two delightful
outings in the last few weeks. Firstly, a matinee
of 'The King and I' at Hastings' famous White Rock
Theatre, and secondly the annual Christmas Dinner
which was held at Horntye Park Restaurant for the
second year running. Thank you to all of the staff
for their extra help and attendance on both of these
occassions. |

November
2007: Good Ratings for Edendale
November was a successful month for Edendale. Not
only did the home receive an excellent inspection
report, but Edendale was also acknowledged for its
good performance as a service provider in the new
Quality Ratings Scheme for care homes. CSCI listed
Edendale as being a home which provides good outcomes
for its residents! |

2007: Preferred Provider for East Sussex County
Council
Edendale EMI Care Home has been named as a 'Preferred
Provider' by East Sussex County Council. This status
was achieved by meeting an array of stringent criteria,
stipulated by CSCI. Edendale's policy is to work
closely with its inspectors to meet the highest
of standards and to to have a positive, ongoing
relationship with relevant authorities. |
