Deputy Manager, Sheila Feeley

Sheila Feeley, Manager

With over 30 years experience in nursing the elderly, mentally ill, Sheila Feeley came to Edendale Care Home in 2005. Prior to this post, she had worked as a senior nurse in St Anne's Psychiatric Hospital in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, and held a range of key positions, including Ward Nurse and Unit Manager of their ECT department.

Her diverse background as a mental health nurse enables her to deliver a wealth of knowledge to all of Edendale's 40 members of staff and one of Sheila's principle responsibilities at the home is to provide professional in-house training to carers. With a variety of qualifications, including two NVQ4 achievements in Management and Training & Development, Sheila is committed to maintaining and improving care standards within the home. Her primary roles include management of care plans, overseeing medication procedures, liaising with doctors and district nurses on behalf of the residents, coordinating and managing the staff and overseeing policy compliance within the workplace.

Katherine Morgan & Ann Wang

The principle roles of Kathleen and Ann are to ensure that the residents' needs are fully catered to and that members of staff are performing to a high standard at all times. Their 'hands-on' role at Edendale allows them to become very involved in the day-to-day care activities and to liaise closely with the management regarding issues such as the residents' well-being and training requirements. Their excellent people-skills and unbeatable knowledge of each individual resident makes them invaluable members of staff. All have worked at Edendale for between 8 - 10 years!
